Pakistan , the king of surprises. How can we ignore Pakistan ? Yes, Pakistan is one of the strongest and favourite team in world cup T20. Pakistan always has been significant in the format. In 2007 Pakistan last final of T20 was with India , while another in 2009 T20 . They beat the Sri Lanka and picked up the trophy. In 2010 and 2012, they arrived in semi-finals.
When we see the batting line up , Pakistan’s most players are agressive so very suitable for the format. From last 3-4 month, Pakistan’s batting line is very suitable and they are performing very well. They have defaeated South Africa in a series first time in the history. The good thing with batting is that Pakistan is showing good confidence and recently in Asia cup they have chased 245 against India and a grand total of 327 against Bangladesh similarly and they played really very tightly. At one time, the match was in the pakistan’s coat but in last 8 overs, Malanga’s brillient spell turned victory from Pakistan to Sri Lanka. Pakistan last that match by 11 runs while chasing 296.
After being defeated by India in first T20, Pakistan made a great come back in 2nd T20 aginst Sri Lanka, and batting as well best in T20 format.
Pakistan’s batting is mainly depending upon Shahid Khan Afridi ( Boom Boom ) and Akmal brothers and Captain hafeez. While Sharjeel , Shoaib Malik and Shoaib Maqsood are also good hitters. Sharjeel khan is being expected to play from next match the continous failure of Ahmed shahzad because he is actually a good ODI player but a good T20 player . The main strength of Pakistan’s side is bowling because it contains the world class and T20 specialists Including Ajmal , Umar Gul and Afridi These are the three top wicket takers in the team as they have shown their talent in the last match against Australia. When they snatched the match from the opposite side in lst of overs. All three bowled very tightly and limited the Australian’s even when the required run rate was just 25 rpo. They bowled the dot balls as well as took the wickets. After these three stars, Professor , Shoail Tanveer and Zulfiqar babar are good T20 specialists Zulfiqar Babar took 2 quick wickets in first over against Australia. So bowling side is not a problem for Pakistan .
