A big match is going to be played between the top sides of IPL t20 2014, CSK and KXIP, at Brabati stadium in Cut tack. CSK is on top at the present with 12 points while KXIP on 2nd with 10 points. Both the teams have lost one match each. So, it will be the most interesting match of all played till now. CSK will try to get the revenge of one and only defeat from KXIP in 1st match while KXIP will try to attain the lost momentum due to defeat from MI in last match.
KXIP batting has thrashed every team expect last defeat against MI. One man show is on from Australian Glenn Maxwell who has attacked every team and especially the spinners because of matchless pick-up ability and power. The openers Cheteshwar Pujara and Virender Sehwag have put some reliable start but could not inject a lot. David Miller has been among the top scorers with a quick half-century on just 19 balls. Saha’s sparkling 59 runs innings is also the cause of pleasure for Pretty eleven. Skipper George Bailey’s innings has been very depressive till now so he will try serve with bat.
In bowling, Sandeep Sharma and Balaji have been the leading wicket-takers; while they have Mitchell Johnson, until now not very impressive, but can be very destructive. But it is not very easy to bowl tightly against CSK’s batting line.
Batting has been very consistent by CSK after first defeat which has lead to 6 consecutive wins. Brendon McCullum and Dwayne Smith are targeting every side with outstanding and bullet innings. Raina and Dhoni have also contributed when needed. But Du Plessis and Manhas working is not good.
Mohit Sharma and Ravindra jadeja are the leading wicket-takers with 12 and 11 wickets respectively. Ashwin is also bowling efficiently but because of the defensive strategy by batsmen against him, he could not get enough wickets. Australian pacer Hilfenhaus perfects bowling at p line and length. While Smith is not doing good job as he is considering a lot of runs.
So, both the teams are equally balanced and it is expected to be a great thriller at Cuttack, tonight.
