Yesterday, 2 matches were played in the world cup. 1st match was between New Zealand and Australia and the second was between India and UAE. New Zealand VS Australia was played in the New Zealand. New Zealand has the advantage of its home ground but that doesn’t make any big difference. New Zealand and Australia both were going unbeaten teams in this tournament.
After this match, one had to lose the match. Australia did bat first and couldn’t perform like an Australian team. Australia couldn’t play from the start of the match. No batsmen could stand on the crease against New Zealand bowlers. Australian openers went away back to Pavilion in the starting overs.
New Zealand bowlers besides of taking wickets, also stopped the score to the smallest possible runs. At the end, Australia whole team could only do 152 runs. That was too small target on that stadium. This target can easily be chased. People were saying that Australia had almost lost the match. But no one was beware of the end of the match. New Zealand took start in a brilliant way. Openers did very well. McCullum got excellent start. McCullum smashed boundaries and New Zealand start literally showed that New Zealand will be winning the match by 7 or 8 wickets.
But match changed its side. Everyone was astonished to watch that New Zealand won the match by 1 wicket only. Australia did excellent come back. Australia has this quality that it doesn’t accept the defeat until the last ball of the match. Australia played intelligently. At the end of the match, 6 runs were required and New Zealand was left with only 1 batsman. But New Zealand he chased the target. Both are going as tough and equal teams.
South Africa has won the 2 matches out of 3 while Ireland is unbeaten team and has won the 2 out of 2 matches. If New Zealand wins the match with good run rate, it will replace South Africa and will be placed at the 2nd place. Ireland and South Africa has almost qualified for the quarter finals if they win the next matches. For Pakistan, it is good if Ireland wins the match because South Africa will come down and chances for Pakistan to qualify will, of course, enhance.
